Cole Haan Editorial

Much of my work for Cole Haan centered on editorial features for the company’s Above & Beyond content hub. I brainstormed story ideas tied to campaigns, conducted interviews, handled research and writing, and crafted accompanying content for Cole Haan’s social channels. These pieces were especially fun to write when I could lean into my natural voice—funny but substantive.

When Cole Haan released their first lines of golf, tennis, and running shoes, I created a new triathlon to try out the shoes and wrote about it. I’d never played golf or tennis before, so comical shenanigans ensued.

In 2021, Cole Haan launched the Innovator Series, an editorial campaign highlighting extraordinary individuals past and present. I helped source subjects, conducted interviews, and wrote monthly stories for the company’s Above & Beyond blog. Featured innovators included young poet Alora Young, equitable pay advocate Claire Wasserman, neighborhood preservationist Mei Lum, LGBTQIA+ activist Sameer Jha, and others.

Content on Cole Haan’s Above & Beyond blog tied directly to active campaigns. During my time there, I pitched and wrote editorial stories supporting launches for their new golf, hiking, trail-running, and tennis shoes.
