I’m Kyle Ryan, a writer, editor, producer, and general content wrangler. I spent a dozen years working for Onion Inc. in various capacities, from helping run The A.V. Club, to managing The Onion, to building the company’s TV/film development department from the ground up. Most recently I ran development for Exactly Right Media, home to My Favorite Murder and a slew of great podcasts.
I grew up in Houston, but have spent more time in my adopted hometown, Chicago. My career has also taken me to NYC and Los Angeles, so I’ve lived in the four largest cities in the U.S. (Do I get a ribbon or something?)
I’m one-third of a power trio with my wife, photojournalist Sally Ryan, and our incredible child. Band name TBD.
