I spent more than a decade in senior editorial leadership at Onion Inc., where I helped lead The A.V. Club, managed The Onion, and built the company’s TV/film development department from the ground up. Later, I led development for Exactly Right Media, home to My Favorite Murder and a slate of excellent podcasts.

Across editorial leadership and development, I’ve built teams, launched franchises, and shaped stories designed to move across platforms.

I grew up in Houston, but have spent more time in my adopted hometown of Chicago. My career has also taken me to New York and Los Angeles—meaning I’ve lived in the four largest cities in the U.S. (Do I get a ribbon?)

I’m one-third of a power trio with my wife and our incredible child. Band name TBD.
